Well it wasn't a good one for me. They rarely are. Anyway, hopefully many of you had great Valentine's Day. Maybe someone sent you flowers or candy or maybe even a card. Thanks for the e-cards I did get, by the way. Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day!

Do you ever sit in the quiet and just think? Think about the past, present and future. Well I do. I'd like to say my past is something that I like to reflect on, but it's not. Sure there are some good things that I so desperately cling to, but then there's the bad. The memories that just won't leave me. Then there's the good things that I walked away from. I find myself saying, "If I could only go back..." The thing is, I can't. I can't change my past. I can only work on what I'm doing now and hope that these things will bring a happy future. Life is filled with so many twists and turns, it's hard to know where you will end up. I thought I had it all figured out. Boy did I have rude awakening. Presently, I know what it is I want. I wake up with it on my mind and go to bed thinking about it. However, it requires much patience, understanding and self control. A good friend of mine told me that I must find happiness in myself before I can find it others. I've spent all this time thinking just the opposite. Well thanks for letting me share my thoughts.

Well the movers have come and the apartment is bare. I'm one step closer to getting out of here. The plus side is that in about 13 days I get to go on vacation. Too bad it's cold. I'm going to visit my family before I head to Georgia. I can hardly wait to see them. I still have a little cleaning to do before I leave my apartment, but I have two more days to worry about that. I do hope to have more poetry soon. Maybe I'll work on a short story too. I have plenty of tales to tell, believe me. I'll keep you posted.

I can hardly believe that it is February already. In less than 30 days I'll be moving! The packers come on Friday and I'm not ready at all. Still there is much to do and much to clean in preparation to vacate my apartment. It shall be interesting to see what new twists and turns my new home shall have.
I'm going to visit my sister for a little while and I'm a bit excited about that. Her and I haven't seen each other in what seems like years. We have a newfound friendship with another and I hope that it continues to grow. We have hopes of getting mom and dad and her and I together for family photo. I think the last one we took was from the 80's. Yep a bit outdated. That picture was from when people were still using those 110 cameras with the removable flashcartridge. LOL.
Well I hope everyone is enjoying 2005 as much as I am. There are so many new beginnings taking place in my life this year. By December, yet another wonderful tale shall be written. I've learned to take the good with the bad because without both is there really balance?
